1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using DocAI ("Service," "Platform," or "we"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

DocAI provides AI-powered document processing services, including but not limited to:

  • Document upload and storage
  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
  • AI-powered data extraction
  • Document validation and transformation
  • Multi-document workflow processing
  • PDF manipulation and conversion

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Requirements

To use our Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Pricing

4.1 Subscription Plans

We offer multiple subscription tiers:

  • Free Plan: 100MB storage, 20K tokens, 10 documents/month
  • Pro Plan ($9.99/month): 2GB storage, 1M tokens, 200 documents/month
  • Business Plan ($29.99/month): 10GB storage, 3M tokens, 1K documents/month

4.2 Payment Terms

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We use Stripe for payment processing.

4.3 Usage Limits

Your subscription includes specific usage limits for storage, API tokens, and document processing. Exceeding these limits may result in additional charges or service restrictions.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after price changes constitutes acceptance of the new prices.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Uses

You may use the Service for lawful business and personal purposes in compliance with these Terms.

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
  • Process documents containing illegal content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits or security measures
  • Resell or redistribute our services without permission
  • Use automated systems to access the Service excessively
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your content solely to provide the Service.

6.2 Our Platform

The Service, including its software, algorithms, user interface, and documentation, is owned by DocAI and protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Data Processing and Privacy

We process your documents using third-party AI services (Google Gemini, Azure Computer Vision). By using our Service, you acknowledge and consent to this processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Emergency repairs
  • Third-party service outages
  • Force majeure events

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

9.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Use the Service in a manner that harms our systems or other users

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease. We may delete your data after a reasonable grace period, typically 30 days.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.1 Service "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF AI-EXTRACTED DATA.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10.3 Maximum Liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DocAI harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which DocAI operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
